CLUTTER

WHAT IS CLUTTER?

It is anything that you are keeping that stagnates your energy because it serves no purpose in your life.

WHY CLEAR IT OUT?

Clearing clutter removes objects that detract from harmonious energy flow. It is stuck energy.

In the book, "Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui", Karen Kingston explains that Feng Shui and Space Clearing can be used to balance and harmonize the energy that flows through our living and working spaces.

By learning how to adjust and balance the flow of this energy, you can powerfully influence your life and experience remarkable results.

THE USUAL CLUTTER ZONES

- Junk Rooms

- Front Entrance

- Behind doors

- Hallways

- The Floor

- Under the Bed

- Closets

- Shoes

- Handbags & Pockets

- Car

- Office

OH MY! - THIS IS CLUTTER? Yes! These items fill up your energy space leaving no room for anything new.

- Books & Magazines

- Photos

- Collections

- Flaky friends

- Anything broken and needing repair

- Letters you intend to write & phone calls you intend to make

- Loose ends

Let go of most of them to create space for something new and better to come into your life (new ideas; new ways of thinking; new productive and wonderful relationships; huge amounts of energy). Unfinished tasks are energy drains. Finish them up and watch the energy flow!

HOW TO CLEAR CLUTTER!

- Use the ONE YEAR OR LOVE IT RULE: If you have not used it in the last year or two and you don’t absolutely love it…then its time to sell it; exchange it; burn it; or, give it away. Things you love are energizing. Unwanted things are draining.

- Use the ONE STEP AT A TIME RULE: Clear out one drawer at a time. You can clear a whole house one drawer at a time.

- Use the STAY OR GO QUESITON: To decide if something stays or goes, ask this question, What does this do for me? Does it lift my energy or does my energy drop when I think about it or look at it?

- Use the REPEAT IT AGAIN RULE: For a lot of clutter, it may take going through it several times before you finally get the point that it is OK to let it go.

- Use the HOARDING EXCHANGE RULE: When something new comes in, something old goes out.

- Use the GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT EVERY DAY RULE: Empty the garbage cans in your house every day.

- Use the ITS SAFE TO LET GO MANTRA: By repeating this mantra to yourself you begin to trust life to bring you something even better when you need it rather than keeping things just in case.

- Use the EXTENSION CORD VISUALIZATION: See everything you own as something plugged into you for energy. The more you own, the more energy it takes from you. Decide what is worth giving energy to.

AVOID KEEPING THINGS "JUST IN CASE"

Keeping things "just in case" stagnates your energy because it serves no purpose in your life. This "just in case attitude" perpetuates a feeling of lack and insecurity.

Lack and insecurity do not allow space for prosperity to expand. Keeping things just in case you cannot afford to get one again is a feeling of financial limitation.

WHAT TO DO WITH UNWANTED PRESENTS

You give away your power when you keep items out of fear or obligation. Take back your power. Get rid of these items. Keep only things you love. Keep only things that inspire and uplift you. Hiding unwanted objects does not work. You cannot hide energy. Learn to give presents without obligation. Give others the freedom to get rid of your present and you will begin to experience more freedom yourself.

BEING NEAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE CLUTTER-FREE

It is OK to have a lot of things as long as they are items you love, that inspire you, that stimulate you and that uplift you. However, the energy flows much better if you organize these items and have a place for them.

It is OK to be messy while working on a project if you put everything away at the end of each day to create space for new ideas to occur.
