Creative visualization is a powerful way to speed your achievement of an intended goal.

Yes you can visualize. You may think that you can’t, but you can.

Close your eyes and think about that person that you want to spend the rest of your life with. See, you just visualized. Or, if you don’t like that person anymore, close your eyes and think about where you’d rather be right now…like maybe your dream house, your dream vacation, hiking a trail, relaxing on a beach somewhere, taking a cruise, or whatever else you can think of that you’d rather be doing…you just saw a mental picture of it. You just visualized.

Visualization is a powerful way to speed your achievement of an intended goal.

Much has been written about creative visualization and forming a mental image of your desire and we will include some of the sources that have helped us in our understanding.

We went to a home-improvement store and purchased a large corkboard (2 ft X 4 ft) and mounted it on the most prominent wall in the house.

We have filled this board with pictures and articles of our strongest desires. We walk by this dream-board or vision-board many times every day. It’s the first thing we see in the morning and last thing we see at night.

Visualizing helps to add depth and detail to your desires. The more detail you add to your vision, the stronger your desire or feelings you have about what it is you want. Wants, coupled with strong feelings, helps to bring results quicker.

Robert Allen had a very powerful exercise to help people clarify their desires. He instructed people to picture their dream home in their mind and then write a description of that house with as much detail as possible. The writer was to include colors and materials, whether the floors were wood or carpeted, description of the furnishings, the stairs, the entertainment center, the kitchen, even the smell of bread baking. What a wonderful exercise.

Perhaps you should try this with whatever you desire most.

If your strongest desire is more money, then describe the money. Where is it, what denominations, are you rolling around in it, does it smell like money, are you lighting your cigars with it? Enjoy what are you doing with your money!

Remember, the Universe doesn’t make the distinction between you having a million dollars and your thought of having a million dollars. Your point of attraction is about your thoughts – not about what you already have.
